On November 7 2013 The New Institute, the Netherlands’ new national institute for the creative industry, hosts an evening (in Dutch) about using smart technologies to repurpose industrial heritage. The evening is part of the larger project Made By Us, a collaboration between The new Institute and The Mobile City, to develop an ongoing dialogue around the concept of smart cities between Chinese and Dutch architects, media makers and designers.

Before the evening program during the day a closed meeting takes place in which three makers work on developing media interventions for the Glass Factory in Shenzhen, one the locations of the the 2013 Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism/Architecture.
