EVENT: Open Internet of Things Assembly, June 16-17 2012 London

Latour’s ‘Parliament of Things’ is being put to practice with this event:

Who owns the data being generated by the world around you? In March 2011, we put forward the first “Internet of Things Bill of Rights”, which aimed to define the relationship between people and the Internet of Things. It has morphed along the way and spurred some great discussions, but now we want to put it out into the world and have it take on a life of it’s own. It’s a discussion that needs to happen for this next evolution of the internet to mature in a healthy manner and we want to invite you to become a part of that process.

A new Bill of Rights is being discussed, debated, and formulated on the open Google group here: http://groups.google.com/group/iot-open-data

We will gather on June 16-17 in London at the Open Internet of Things Assembly. The event will feature keynotes by Usman Haque, Adam Greenfield, and Rob Van Kranenburg, and involve attendees in a series of workshops aimed at generating an endorsable version of the “Bill”.
Tickets are now available and space is limited to 130 attendees (20% discount available until May 10th using code “OIOTA_Pachube”): http://openiotassembly.com/tickets/
Sponsorship opportunities are now available and start at an accessible £100 so that organizations of all sizes can participate and show their support: http://openiotassembly.com/sponsors/
We hope to see you there!
