This is on a short notice, but looks interesting nevertheless. Today the Future Everything festival kicks of in Manchester, and from tomorrow (May 12th) there is a conference where themes related to the Mobile City will be discussed. Go check it out if you are around.

The FutureEverything Conference takes place on 12th and 13th May at our brand new festival hub, Four Piccadilly Place, situated right in the heart of Manchester city centre. Our conference is one of the leading UK events that focuses on the latest developments in creative and digital technologies and this year’s lineup of speakers is arguably our best yet.
Ideas to be discussed over the course of the event include emotional computing, integration of digital culture within urban environments, future mobilities and open data. With questions such as ‘how is journalism shaping and being shaped by open data?’ and ‘what does collaborative media offer for communities?’ being debated.
On the 12th May half of the conference programme will be dedicated to Open Data and the continuation of the FutureEverything pioneered, Open Data Cities project. Details of these sessions can be found here
As always, the conference combines provocative ideas from our speakers with opportunities to network and swap news and views with other delegates.
