15-18 March: Sao Paulo visit

From 15 to 18 March The Hackable City and Rens Wijnakker from DELVA Landscape Architects visited Sao Paulo our local partner Acupuntura Urbana helped us to create a program with official, local and sometimes off the grid urban interventions. Acupuntura Urbana’s mission is to transform public spaces in an active and participatory manner and strengthening relationships that encourage the role of civil society in building a more human city.

Here is the list of initiatives we visited:

During project visits and workshops the different stakeholders were brought together to challenge them in articulating new relationships. These dialogues helped us to better understand the local situation, the interaction between the formal and informal city and how these initiatives change the city from within.

A report of our visit will follow soon.
