We are happy to announce that The Mobile City is now an affiliate of the wonderful Lift11 Conference. This means that all readers of The Mobile City get a 25% discount on the sales price of tickets to Lift11.
Lift11 is a three-day conference about current and emerging usage of digital technologies such as online communities, social media and casual games. Lift gathers entrepreneurs, managers, designers, students, geeks, researchers, thinkers and doers from around the world.
This year’s program looks truly interesting from the perspective of ubiquitous media technologies and the design of the hybrid city. Some of the speakers include:
- Kevin Slavin (founder of pervasive media platform Area/Code)
- Steffen Walz (Games & Experimental Entertainment Laboratory Melbourne, and co-editor of Space Time Play, a volume about digital game design and architecture)
- Jennifer Magnolfi (Herman Miller Ideation Studio, and co-author of the design manifesto “Always Building: the Programmable Environment”).
Lift11 takes place 2-4 February 2011 in Geneva, Switzerland.
